HGV Class 1 Powder Tanker Drivers

Staffline is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Powder Tanker Drivers for our prestigious client based in Matlock, DE4.

Start times will vary to meet delivery requirements - typically between:
04:00am - 06:00am
This is a temp to perm opportunity with excellent earning potential and consistent hours.

PAYE rates are as below:
Standard Rate - £17.39 per hour
Overtime (After 55 hours per week) - £26.09 per hour (1.5x)
Every 3rd Saturday (First 5 hours) - £26.00 per hour
Every 3rd Saturday (After 5 hours) - £34.78 per hour

Average hours: 60-65 hours per week

Your Time at Work
The role mainly consists of Class 1 Powder Tanker operations:

- Delivering powder tanker loads to aggregate and concrete plants across the UK
- Ensuring safe, secure, and timely deliveries in line with company procedures
- Occasional ad hoc nights out, planned in advance where possible
- Working in a quarry environment - conditions can be muddy and hands-on due to powder materials
- Adhering strictly to Health & Safety, site rules, and WTD regulations
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records

Requirements:

- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Willingness to learn tanker operations and work in a physical environment
- Comfortable with occasional nights out
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
