HGV Class 2 Driver

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver on behalf of our client to join their team in Boldon. This is an temp to perm position for the right candidate.

Hours of work:

· Days 07:00 - 10:00 starts.

Salary:

· £14.00 to £16.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

.Role will become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

. Very occasional night out may be required.

.Must be willing to work every other Saturday and some bank holidays (time in lieu given)

· Trunking and multi-drop delivery of food goods on Class 2 and 7.5t and Van so successful candidate must be diverse.

· Delivering to businesses across North East and North Yorkshire.

· Goods unloaded by handball, so all candidates need to be fit and able.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.

· Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.

· To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.

· To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

· Must hold a valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence for a minimum of 12 months.

· Must have at least 60 days’ worth of driving showing on digital tacho card.

· Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.

· Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.

· No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.

· No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
