HGV Class 2 Driver (Pallets)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our customer, a well-established business based in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver who is looking for a stable, long-term position delivering palletised goods to customers across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

Requirements:

* Valid Class 2 (HGV/LGV, Category C) driving licence

* Valid CPC and Tacho Card

* Previous commercial driving experience

* Previous experience delivering palletised goods is essential

* Good knowledge of Portsmouth and surrounding areas would be advantageous

* Excellent customer service and communication skills

* Physically fit, as some manual handling will be involved

* Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely load, transport and deliver palletised goods to customers

* Carry out deliveries to customers across Portsmouth and surrounding areas

* Ensure goods are delivered safely and securely

* Assist with loading and unloading where required

* Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects

* Provide excellent customer service at each delivery

* Ensure all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation is completed correctly

* Comply with all company, road safety and transport regulations

Benefits:

* £32,000 per annum salary (once permanent)

* Competitive hourly rate of £18.50ph (Umbrella) whilst through the agency
