HGV Driver

OA are recruiting for an HGV Driver to join a well-established and respected building materials supplier.

Location: Bovingdon, Hemel Hempstead

Hours: 44.75 hours per week, including alternate Saturdays. Standard working hours are 6:45am – 4:15pm. Any additional weekday hours worked above the standard day are returned as Time Off in Lieu (TOIL), subject to management approval and business requirements.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

HGV Driver Key Responsibilities

Deliver building materials to trade and commercial customers across the local region
Load, transport and unload products safely and efficiently
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard
Complete delivery paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on-site
Adhere to all road transport legislation and health & safety procedures
Support the wider team with additional duties as required when not undertaking deliveries
HGV Driver Skills and Experience

Valid HGV licence (Class 2 preferred)
Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
Previous experience delivering building materials or similar products is advantageous
Good understanding of driver regulations and vehicle safety requirements
Strong customer service and communication skills
Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
