Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced HGV Driver to join our logistics team on an ad hoc basis. The role involves transporting high-value products across various locations, often requiring work on weekends. Candidates must be capable of handling double decker trailers and demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate HGV vehicles, ensuring safe and timely delivery of high-value products.
Perform pre and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in good operating condition.
Comply with all legal and company regulations regarding secure loading, transporting, and unloading of goods.
Maintain accurate records of delivery documentation and other necessary paperwork.
Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams to report any issues or delays.
Ensure customer satisfaction through professional conduct at all delivery points.
Requirements:
Valid HGV driving license.
CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
Digital Tacho Card
Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role.
Proven experience in handling high-value products.
Experience driving double decker trailers.
Excellent understanding of road transport regulations and safety standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Strong time management and punctuality.
Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in logistics or transportation of fragile or high-value items.
