HGV Drivers WA3 C1/C2

The Roles

HGV Class 1 Drivers

• Deliveries to regional distribution centres (RDCs).
  
  


• Typically 1–2 drops per shift.
  
  


• Day shifts starting at 05:00 or 06:00, or night shifts starting at 22:00.
  
  


• Occasional unloading of wheeled basket trolleys, carried out as part of a team.
  
  

HGV Class 2 Drivers

• Deliveries to stores.
  
  


• Approximately 15–25 drops per shift.
  
  


• Early starts(0200), with shifts generally finished by lunchtime.
  
  


• Some unloading of wheeled basket trolleys.
  
  

Both roles involve straightforward delivery work, with some manual handling of wheeled baskets.

Hours & Pay

• Class 1: £18.53–£20.58 per hour.
  
  


• Class 2: £17.00–£20.00 per hour.
  
  


• All-inclusive hourly rates.
  
  


• PAYE only.
  
  


• 5 days out of 7, including some weekend work.
  
  


• Overtime available.
  
  


• Long-term, ongoing work.
  
  

Driver Requirements

To be considered for either position, you must have:

• The relevant HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
  
  


• A valid Driver CPC.
  
  


• A valid digital tachograph card.
  
  


• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
  
  


• No disqualifying endorsements, including DD, DR or IN10
  
  


• Good written and spoken English.
  
  


• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  
  


• A reliable, punctual and positive attitude.
  
  


• A smart and professional appearance, as you will be representing the client.
  
  


• The ability to keep your vehicle clean and presentable.
