We are recruiting an experienced HGV Fleet Technician / Mechanic to join a growing transport operation responsible for maintaining a large fleet of commercial vehicles.
This role will involve servicing, maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet ranging from 3.5-tonne light commercial vehicles through to 26-tonne HGVs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational, helping to minimise downtime and maximise fleet reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles and HGVs Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and technical faults Carry out planned maintenance and vehicle inspections Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and compliance checks Ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant with relevant regulations Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records Liaise with external specialist contractors where required Support continuous improvements to fleet performance and reliabilityEssential Requirements
The key requirement for this position:
Proven experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles (3.5 tonne to 26 tonne)
You will also have:
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively A proactive approach to safety, quality and compliance A full UK Driving LicenceDesirable Experience
The following are advantageous but not essential:
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent vehicle maintenance qualification Experience carrying out Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) Knowledge of DVSA maintenance standards and compliance requirements Experience working on refrigerated vehicles HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Licence MOT Tester qualificationWhat's On Offer?
