HGV Mechanic

About the Role:

Due to business growth we are actively recruiting for a HGV Mechanic to join our growing fleet department. 

Location: Preston

Salary: £45,000

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Vehicle inspections
  


• Defect repairs
  


• Vehicle servicing
  


• Reactive maintenance
  


• PMI's and MOT preparations
  


• Completion of all vehicle paperwork
  


• Attend Breakdowns or accident vehicles

Experience/Qualifications: 

• Class C+E / HGV Class 2 driving license - essential
  


• ADR certification in tanks and packages would be preferred - not essential
  


• Successful applications must have own tools.


• Previous industry experience preferred - not essential
  


• A strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing
  


• Possess full industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ or industry equivalent)
  


• Holds a real passion for all things automotive, whilst taking a proactive approach to manual fault finding though to resolution
