Our client is a leading provider of waste management and environmental services, operating a modern fleet of commercial vehicles across the UK.
They are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their workshop team, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to maximise fleet availability and minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs in line with manufacturer and regulatory standards Prepare and present vehicles for annual MOT testing Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults Complete service documentation and workshop records accurately Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety procedures Support apprentice technicians and contribute to the wider workshop team Provide roadside assistance where required Participate in ongoing training and support operational requirements across other sites when necessaryRequirements
City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in HGV Maintenance (or significant relevant experience) Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and workshop best practice Excellent communication and team working skills HGV Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card would be advantageousSalary & Benefits
