Salary: £37,000 Per Annum


Overview:

First Military Recruitment are looking for an experienced, commercial vehicle repair and maintenance HGV technician to join one of our renowned clients based in Milton Keynes.

This is a family owned and run company with very low turnover of staff. We operate a large fleet of construction vehicles, including tippers, skip trucks, grab trucks, and low loaders.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair to keep the fleet to DVSA standards.

You will be based out of our clients large 6 bay workshop in Milton Keynes, and will be working Monday to Friday, 7am- 5pm and Sat 7am - 1pm when required (paid at an overtime rate).

Some requirements of the role will be but aren't limited to

• MOT Preparation/Presentation
• Vehicle Inspections
• General Servicing
• Correction / repair of vehicle defects
• Engine / Gearbox repairs & overhauls
• Completion of all required paperwork
• Diagnostic experience
• Welding / fabrication

you will be mainly workshop based with occasional breakdown/roadside diagnostic work when required. The successful applicant will need at least 5 years’ experience and must be a fully qualified HGV mechanic (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). A full driving licence including HGV class 1/2 is a must for this role.
