We're looking for a proactive and organised Transport Coordinator to join a busy Aberdeen operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in road haulage, transport planning, freight forwarding or logistics coordination who thrives in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same.
Working as part of an experienced transport team, you'll play a key role in coordinating road freight movements across the UK and Europe, ensuring every shipment is delivered efficiently, compliantly and on time. From quoting and load planning to customer communication and operational problem solving, you'll be at the heart of the transport operation.

The Role
As a Transport Coordinator, you'll take ownership of shipments from enquiry through to delivery, providing first-class service to customers while ensuring transport operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Manage domestic and European road freight shipments from start to finish Provide competitive quotations and tailored transport solutions Coordinate collections, deliveries and trailer movements Plan loads for both UK and international transport operations Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and haulage partners Provide proactive updates and resolve any transport-related issues quickly and professionally Produce transport documentation including CMRs, pre-alerts and operational paperwork Process and maintain accurate job files within the Transport Management System (TMS) Ensure all jobs are completed, billed and closed correctly Support continuous improvement of transport processes and customer service standardsWhat We're Looking For
Essential
Strong organisational and communication skills Excellent attention to detail Commercial awareness and confidence working with numbers Computer literate with experience using transport or logistics systems Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment Team player who enjoys working collaborativelyHighly Desirable
✅ Previous experience within road haulage, transport planning, road freight forwarding or logistics coordination
✅ Experience arranging UK and European road freight movements
✅ Knowledge of groupage, full loads, part loads and trailer operations
✅ Understanding of transport regulations, driver compliance and freight documentation
✅ Dangerous Goods awareness or ADR knowledge
