Perfect Placement Automotive Recruitment is working closely with our client to find a skilled HGV Technician who is eager to develop their career within a well-established workshop environment. Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate up to £20.88, plus late shift allowance (15%) and overtime pay
Working hours on a rotating shift pattern: Week 1 = 6:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday; Week 2 = 2:00pm – 12:00am, Monday to Thursday; Friday = 2:30pm – 10pm
Payment for 2 Saturdays per month on a rota (at 1.5x rate)

Opportunity to develop into Heavy Vehicles from Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV)Duties of a HGV Technician:

Conduct high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs on HGV vehicles
Perform vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
Undertake diagnostics and fault finding efficiently
Modify customer vehicles where required
Adhere to health and safety procedures within the workshop
Handle customer enquiries professionally and provide excellent service as a HGV Technician
Complete job cards and service documentation accurately and promptlyRequirements of a HGV Technician:

C&G / NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance essential (Heavy Vehicle experience preferred, Light Commercial Vehicle considered)
IRTEC qualification beneficial but not essential
Ideally possess a Class 1 driving licence (desired)
Proven experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop, with a preference for HGV experience
Practical knowledge of IT and workshop diagnostics tools
Safety-conscious attitude and diligent approach
