HGV Technician Late/Night Shifts

Job Title: HGV Technician (Late/Night Shifts)
Location: Bardon, Leicestershire
Pay rate: Up to £25.00/h
Shift: Late Shifts (12:00 PM – 10:00 PM / 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM)
Type: Permanent (Full-Time, 50 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP

Please Note: Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours worked over 50 per week. Flexibility for weekend work, especially Saturdays, is required.

About the Client:

Our client is a leading name in the commercial vehicle maintenance sector and is seeking skilled HGV Technicians to join their experienced team in Bardon. This role is perfect for experienced mechanics or technicians looking to develop further in a dynamic and hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics
• Complete Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and MOT preparation
• Carry out brake tests and minor bodywork repairs
• Work with double-deck trailers and tail lifts (desirable)
• Operate both on-site and in mobile repair situations
• Complete safety checks and maintain service documentation

Requirements:

• Recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, IRTEC)
• Strong background in HGV maintenance and repair
• Experience in diagnostics, inspections, and MOT prep
• Physically fit, with ability to perform manual tasks
• A full UK driving licence (Category C or C+E preferred)
• Reliable transport for commuting to Bardon
