We're recruiting an experienced HGV Vehicle Technician to join a well-established fleet maintenance team supporting essential front-line services across the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area.

The Role

As an HGV Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles & equipment, ensuring they remain safe, roadworthy & operating efficiently.

Your duties will include:

Servicing, maintaining & repairing commercial vehicles

Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment

Carrying out inspections, safety checks & preventative maintenance

Preparing vehicles for MOT & compliance inspections

Completing electronic job sheets & maintenance records

Working in line with Health & Safety procedures & Operator Licence requirements

Supporting apprentices & sharing your technical knowledge

Working collaboratively to keep the fleet operating at its best

You'll work on a wide range of vehicles including:

Refuse collection vehicles

Road sweepers

HGVs

Vans & light commercial vehicles

Tractors

Trailers

Specialist municipal equipment

What we're looking for

To be successful you'll have:

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

Previous experience within a commercial vehicle workshop
Strong fault-finding & diagnostic skills

Experience working on HGVs or municipal fleet vehicles
