£45,000 - £50,000 Basic Salary plus a Van fully expensed
Please note this HGV Workshop Foreman / Workshop Supervisor role is Semi Productive, you will still be doing some work on the tools.

Monday to Friday days, 7am - 4pm
My Client, a commercial Vehicle / Heavy Vehicle / Plant company, are looking for a dedicated, loyal and knowledgeable HGV Workshop Controller / HGV Foreman Mechanic / HGV Workshop Supervisor / Plant Engineer / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Shift Supervisor / Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician Charge Hand / Workshop Manager / HGV Plant Workshop Supervisor / HGV Technician / Plant Fitter in the Bradford area.
The Plant / HGV / Heavy Vehicle Workshop Supervisor will be working on all types of Heavy vehicles and HGV, such as Tipper Lorries, Dumpers, Rollers, Suction Sweepers and Planing Machinery, so the ideal candidate would have a background of working on HGV / Heavy Vehicle / Plant / Construction Vehicles or Agricultural Vehicles, and have experience with Hydraulics and Electrics, as well as Mechanics. Ideally the right candidate would have also been in a supervisory role. You will
NOT
be working on Municipal Vehicles.
Main duties of the HGV Workshop Controller / HGV Foreman Mechanic / HGV Workshop Supervisor / Plant Engineer / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Shift Supervisor / Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician Charge Hand / Workshop Manager / HGV Plant Workshop Supervisor / HGV Technician / Plant Fitter:
Managing a Team of Commercial Vehicle / HGV / Plant Fitters and Technicians
To work closely with the Operations Director and Support where needed.
Do MOT's
Vehicle PMI Inspections
Routine Maintenance and Repairs
To lead by example and manage a Team whilst promoting all the Company Values.
Liaising with staff to manage the daily planning of vehicles in the Workshop ensuring full utilisation of time available / Managing Workflow.
Assist on service and repair of commercial vehicles (semi productive role)
Parts ordering and Stock Control
Work closely with the Director to implement improvements and grow the business
Ensuring Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
Monitoring utilisation, productivity and idle time to ensure internal KPIs are met.
Maintain relationships with key suppliers
To review, coach and develop the team and to ensure all our trainees have a dedicated training programme and/or mentor in place.
Dealing with customer queries.
Authorising Time Sheets, Overtime and Holidays
The HGV Workshop Controller / HGV Foreman Mechanic / HGV Workshop Supervisor / Plant Engineer / Workshop Supervisor / HGV Shift Supervisor / Workshop Foreman / HGV Technician Charge Hand / Workshop Manager / HGV Plant Workshop Supervisor / HGV Technician / Plant Fitter will be able to demonstrate:
Brilliant leadership skills.
A full clean driving licence is required, a Class 1 or 2 licence would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Clear vision in achieving business goals.
An ability to motivate and inspire team members to exceed targets.
An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers.
Semi Productive on tools
Ensuring the Technicians are performing and assisting with issues
An understanding of the demands of the role and the time and attention needed to produce impressive results.
IT Literacy.
Be loyal, Hard working and committed
Genuinely have an interest in the role and the company
Have worked as an HGV / Heavy Vehicle / Plant / Construction Vehicle / Agricultural Technician before
A level 3 NVQ is desirable
A methodical approach to work
Good Time Management.
An ability to perform well under pressure.
