Class 2 Driver

Location: Chessington, Surrey
Salary: £38,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am starts, plus every other Saturday (4–5 hours)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join a busy and growing landscaping and building materials supplier based in Chessington.

You will be responsible for delivering a range of landscaping and construction materials to customers across the local area, including timber, fencing, aggregates, paving and other building supplies.

We are looking for a professional driver with a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Previous experience delivering building or landscaping materials would be beneficial.

HIAB experience and a valid HIAB qualification would be an advantage but are not essential, as we are also interested in hearing from Class 2 drivers looking to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver landscaping and building materials.

Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

*

Load and unload materials, using a HIAB crane where qualified and required.

*

Deliver excellent customer service at delivery locations.

*

Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.

*

Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.

*

Comply with road safety regulations and health and safety procedures.

*

Maintain a professional and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.

The Ideal Candidate

*

Hold a valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.

*

Hold a valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.

*

Have a safe and responsible approach to driving.

*

Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.

*

Have good communication and customer service skills.

*

Previous experience delivering building or landscaping materials would be beneficial.

*

HIAB experience and a relevant qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.

Working Hours

*

Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00am.

*

Every other Saturday, working approximately 4–5 hours.

Salary & Benefits

£38,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
