Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Greenwich

Full-Time HLTA | Greenwich

Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? A welcoming and supportive school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team on a full-time, 5-day-per-week basis.

The successful candidate will have previous HLTA or relevant classroom experience, strong knowledge of teaching and learning, and the confidence to lead and support pupils across the school. A degree is preferred, alongside a genuine commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons and learning activities across the school.
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils.
Cover classes and lead learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Support teachers with planning, assessment and classroom management.
Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
Contribute to the wider life and development of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom-based role.
Strong understanding of the curriculum, teaching and learning.
Confident leading lessons and managing a classroom independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Degree educated is preferred.
Passionate, reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress.Location: Greenwich
