Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work in a successful secondary school within the North of Barnsley, we are currently recruiting for HLTAs who can assist in KS3/KS4 schools immediately.

Supporting Students

• Get to know students to provide support on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to help students stay focused

• Build strong relationships with students to be best placed to assist them

• Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued

• Lead a small group of students in a pre-planned lesson

• Provide feedback on students engagement and performance

• Help to keep the learning space organised and running smoothly

• Track student progress and celebrating their achievements

• Take part in meetings with parents to discuss how students are doing and how they can be supported further

• Someone who meets the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) standards or is eager to achieve them within six months of starting

• A real passion for education and helping young people succeed

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills

• Relevant qualifications at A-level or equivalent

• Experience working with secondary school students

• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to inspire and engage pupils
