Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Longsight, Manchester, working within their dedicated SEN base for the full academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA or highly skilled Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident taking on responsibility within a specialist provision.

The Role:

Working within the school's dedicated SEN base
Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development
Leading learning activities and interventions where appropriate
Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and the wider support team
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and key life skills
Creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified or experienced HLTA
Strong experience supporting children with SEND
Confident working with pupils who have additional and potentially complex needs
Patient, adaptable and resilient
Able to build strong relationships with pupils
Confident taking responsibility for learning activities and small groups
