The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our School Trust, based in Jacobstow Community Academy.
We also have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant role available at Clawton Primary School, working 22.75 hours per week. This could suit someone looking for more hours, as there may be the opportunity to combine both roles.
Jacobstow is a happy school that works closely with the local community to foster and nurture relationships with children, parents, and their families, so the whole community is supported. Set in beautiful grounds within a small rural village, just a 15-minute drive from Bude and a 30-minute drive from Launceston, Jacobstow offers a rich and vibrant curriculum that is distinctive to the community.
Working in close partnership with our families, we passionately believe that every child should be taught by expert, high quality teachers in an inspirational school that always puts children first. At Jacobstow, we believe that education is about more than lessons in a classroom - it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and giving every child the best possible start in life.
Our ideal candidate will be committed to making a profound difference, particularly for our most disadvantaged children, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive. Experience with autism, speech and language development, and knowledge of phonics would also be an advantage, but not essential.
We value the diversity of skills and perspectives that every colleagues brings and are committed to supporting a healthy life balance for all our colleagues. We’re happy to explore flexible working arrangements and discuss what that might look like for you.
Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we’ve identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate!
At the Learning Academy Partnership, our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.
What we can offer you:
● Make a real difference – every day you’ll have the chance to make a profound difference to children’s lives.
● Be part of something bigger – you will be part of a values-led School Trust where we collaborate, innovate, and succeed together.
