Academics are working with a high-achieving primary school in Epping that is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join its team two days a week.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced education professional who enjoys taking the lead, supporting pupils to reach their potential and helping teachers deliver engaging lessons. With a contract running until July 2027 and the possibility of a permanent position afterwards, this role could be an excellent next step in your career.

What can you expect?

As an HLTA, you'll play an important part in keeping learning engaging, purposeful and accessible. Your responsibilities may include:

Leading lessons and delivering planned learning activities across the primary age range.
Providing targeted support to pupils who need additional guidance or encouragement.
Helping maintain a positive classroom atmosphere where children feel confident to participate.
Working closely with teachers to support progress and identify areas where pupils may need extra help.
Encouraging independence, curiosity and positive learning habits.
Adapting activities to meet pupils' different abilities and learning needs.Is this the right opportunity for you?

We're looking for someone who is confident leading learning, communicates well and can build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.

You'll ideally have HLTA status or relevant experience taking responsibility for whole-class learning and supporting teaching staff. A proactive attitude, strong classroom management and a genuine passion for primary education are essential.
