Permanent Highways Engineer / Surveyor – Sheffield (Site-Based)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: Competitive + Overtime
Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time, site-based
Are you ready to take the next step in your engineering career? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Highways Engineer / Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. This role plays a vital part in supporting construction and maintenance projects within our highways network.

What You’ll Be Doing: As a Highways Engineer / Surveyor, your work will be essential in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately, and to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

Ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation
Surveying and levelling of construction sites
Accurately setting out project locations using plans, drawings, and BIM data
Mapping structural boundaries and contributing to buildability reviews
Communicating regularly with project teams and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

Full UK driving licence
Experience in site surveying and highway construction
HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Experience using Leica Total Stations (desirable)
Operational health and safety experience or qualifications (desirable)
