Overview:
Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Hire Coordinator to join a UK independent organisation, operating within a nationwide engineering and service-led environment for power solutions.
As Hire Coordinator, you will play an important role in managing customer relationships and coordinating the full hire process from initial enquiry through to off-hire and collection. This is a varied and fast-paced role which would suit someone with previous hire desk, administration or account management experience who is confident managing multiple priorities, communicating with customers and internal teams, and thinking on their feet.
What do I need?
* Previous administration and/or account management experience within a fast-paced environment
* Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple processes, deadlines and conflicting priorities
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Experience within plant hire, equipment hire, power generation or a similar industry would be advantageous
Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of customer hire requirements and act as the main point of contact throughout the hire period
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, engineers and internal departments
* Coordinate the full hire process, including enquiries, quotations, equipment availability, preparation, delivery, installation, commissioning, extensions, exchanges, off-hire and collection
* Manage the hire fleet, ensuring equipment records are accurate and equipment is inspected, maintained, serviced and repaired within the required timescales
* Monitor fleet availability and utilisation to maximise equipment availability
* Coordinate fuel requirements for equipment on hire, including monitoring fuel levels, arranging deliveries and maintaining accurate records
* Work closely with Service Coordinators and engineers to arrange planned servicing, call-outs, PDI and remedial works
* Gather and communicate relevant technical, operational information
* Raise purchase orders, order equipment and parts, and review third-party hire and supplier invoices to ensure they align with approved quotations and purchase orders
