Hire Desk Administrator

To support management ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, exceptional customer service, and strong commercial performance. You’ll play a key role in managing and, improving efficiency, while monitoring performance to drive operational excellence.

Provide strong leadership ensuring all aspects of performance and processes align with budgeted targets and expectations.

Oversee the daily operations of the hire desk, ensuring a seamless process for customers as well as ensuring that all paperwork and systems are updated for all Plant, tool and vehicles.

Provide accurate reporting and information within agreed timeframes and deadlines for the Manager.

Manage, Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, servicing, repairs, and inspections to reduce downtime and keep equipment in peak condition with internal and external suppliers.

Ensure compliance with all legal and company requirements, including MOT, servicing, Loler and testing.

Drive team performance, ensuring service levels remain high.

Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service and efficiency within our systems and processes.

Essential Skills:

Experience within the hire industry.

Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate a team, securing buy-in from stakeholders.

Strong coaching and development skills to enhance team performance.

Previous management experience in a similar role.

A customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering high-quality service.

Excellent relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) with knowledge of hire systems

Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
