Hire Desk Manager

Smart10 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Hire Desk Manager for our client based in Rushden.

Are you an experienced and organised professional with a passion for customer service and equipment hire? We’re looking for a Hire Desk Manager to lead a busy and dynamic team based in Northamptonshire.

• Job Title: Hire Desk Manager 
• Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (room to negotiate regarding salary) 
• Location: Rushden (Northamptonshire)
• Permanent Position 
• Working over a 7 day week operations, some weekends may be included. 

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the hire desk

• Lead, mentor and support the hire desk team to deliver outstanding customer service

• Liaise with clients and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate hire bookings

• Monitor and optimise the utilisation of equipment and vehicles

• Maintain accurate records of hire contracts, delivery schedules, and customer communications

• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations

• Previous experience in a Hire Desk or related managerial role (plant hire, tool hire, or logistics sector preferred)

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

• Confident in using hire management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
