History Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet
Salary: £110-£115 per day
Start Date: Trialling ASAP for a September 2026 start

The Opportunity:

Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Performing Arts Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet as a Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in History lessons. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.

Your Role Will Involve:

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging History lessons

Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision

Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts

Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment

What We're Looking For:

A degree in History or a related subject

A genuine interest in working with young people and in education

Some experience with secondary-aged pupils - e.g., through tutoring, mentoring, summer schools, or previous TA work

A confident communicator with good organisational skills

A proactive, positive, and reliable approach
