About the Role

The successful candidate will be a qualified History Teacher with experience teaching KS3/4 and 5. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the curriculum and a passion for bringing history to life for students. They will also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality History lessons to KS3/4 and 5 pupils


• Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching resources


• Work collaboratively with other History teachers to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching


• Assess and track student progress to ensure that all students are making good progress


• Support students in their academic and personal development


• Contribute to the wider school community

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified History Teacher (QTS or PGCE)


• Experience teaching KS3/4 and 5 History


• Strong understanding of the History curriculum


• Passion for History and the ability to bring it to life for students


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work collaboratively with others


• Commitment to providing all students with the opportunity to succeed

Salary

The salary for this History Teacher position will be paid to scale MPS/UPS.
