History Teacher - Mixed Secondary School in Haringey

A progressive mixed secondary academy in Haringey is looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of History for a permanent position starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Humanities department and teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values critical inquiry, high standards, and strong relationships with students.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and analytical lessons that help students build confidence, source evaluation skills, essay architecture, and an appreciation of modern, medieval, and global history datasets. The Role:

• Teaching History across KS3 and KS4

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum

• Supporting students of all abilities to achieve strong outcomes

• Contributing to historical seminars, regional debate leagues, and extra-curricular activities

• Working closely with colleagues within the Humanities faculty

Requirements:

Applicants must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in History, Politics, or a related subject

• Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school setting up to GCSE level

• Strong classroom management skills

• The legal right to work in the UK

Salary:

M1 – UPS3 (Outer London Pay Scale)
