About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3-5, with a focus on modern history.


• Develop and implement lesson plans that cover key events and themes of the 20th and 21st centuries.


• Facilitate student-led debates, presentations, and research projects.


• Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.


• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the modern history curriculum.


• Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as history clubs and museum visits.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in History, specializing in modern history.


• Extensive experience teaching history at the secondary level.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.


• A passion for fostering a love of history and developing critical thinking skills.
