Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Leeds.
Job Description:
A Leeds school in the LS12 area are seeking an experienced HLTA to join their school on a long-term basis to provide support to pupils and staff, contributing to high standards and achievements. The role will involve supporting the teacher in behavioural management and in the delivery of lessons. You may also be required to plan and deliver your own classes due to unplanned absences. 1:1 work may be required at times.

Hours of work- Term time Monday-Friday
Pay- GBP110-GBP130 per day depending on experience.
Start date- September 2025.
Contract- Permanent/full time

The school:
. The school has a passion for providing exceptional teaching to pupils and encouraging and motivating each pupil to achieve the best they possibly can.

The successful candidate will:
. Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent to a level 4 NVQ.
. Have experience supporting a teacher in and out of the classroom.
. Be passionate about working towards raising standards of teaching.
. Have experience dealing with behaviours and incidents in the classroom.
. Have the ability to motivate and encourage pupils to achieve their potential.
. Be able to effectively liaise with staff members and report incidents professionally.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
· Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years.
