TeacherActive is currently recruiting a HLTA to work within one of the largest secondary schools in Pembrokeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and adaptable individual looking to take the next step in their education career while working in supportive and inclusive school environments.

The Role

Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups
Lead small group interventions and provide targeted pupil support
Work closely with teachers to monitor progress and raise attainment
Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote pupil wellbeing

Requirements

✅ HLTA status or an equivalent qualification
✅ Previous experience working within a primary school setting
✅ Confidence leading whole-class learning and covering lessons
✅ Excellent communication and classroom management skills
✅ A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
✅ Passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
