This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading ornamental horticulture business supplying innovative genetics and young plants to commercial growers across the UK.

As part of their continued investment in the UK market, they're creating a brand-new Technical Sales Representative role covering the South. You'll play a key part in developing the territory, growing customer relationships, and helping drive the next phase of growth.

You'll be responsible for promoting a range of young plants and genetics to commercial growers across the Midlands and South of England.

This is a true relationship-based sales role. Whilst there will be existing customers to support, a big part of the opportunity is helping the business continue to grow its market presence by getting in front of growers and building new relationships.

Day to day, you'll be:

Managing and developing relationships with commercial growers
Introducing new varieties
Providing technical and after-sales support
Visiting customers and understanding their growing requirements
Identifying new business opportunities across the region
Monitoring market trends and competitor activity
Working closely with customer service and European colleagues
Attending trade shows and industry eventsYou'll spend most of your week out with customers, building relationships and helping growers get the most from the products and genetics available to them.

What do I need?

Strong plant knowledge
Experience within commercial growing, nurseries, garden centres, amenity horticulture, or horticultural sales.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A self-motivated and proactive attitude
Confidence working independently and managing your own diary.
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence.
Sales experience would be beneficial, but it isn't essential.This could suit someone currently working in a nursery or growing environment who wants to move into a commercial role.
