Hospitality Manager

This is no ordinary hospitality role. This is about knowing names, not just orders. It’s about making steak pie and chips feel like fine dining. It’s about presence, pride, polish - and above all, people.

We’re looking for a Hospitality Manager to lead the front-of-house operation at one of Cheshire’s most prestigious members-only country clubs - a role where first-class service is non-negotiable and the personal touch is everything.

You’ll be the kind of person who spots a wonky tablecloth or a slow refill and fixes it before anyone else notices. You’ll lead from the front - whether that’s pouring drinks, running food, setting up for a 'wake’, or overseeing a corporate golf day. This is very much a player-manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering a first-class hospitality operation across the bar, restaurant, and event spaces
• Leading, mentoring, and rota-managing a small but dedicated front-of-house team
• Ensuring exceptional service during a range of events - from Sunday lunches to weddings, business days, and private functions
• Liaising with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure service standards are upheld
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational excellence
• Building lasting relationships with members, treating them with charm, respect, and traditional manners
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, licensing, and hygiene regulations

Hours & Culture:

This is a hospitality role with balance - no nightclub finishes or 3am lock-ups here.

• Most bar services end by 4pm in Winter, and 8pm in Summer
• Weekends and some evenings are part of the role, especially around events
• You’ll be joining a tight-knit, family-feel team where everyone mucks in and supports one another

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in hospitality management, ideally in a hotel, resturant, premium or members’ club setting
• A hands-on leader who works shoulder-to-shoulder with their team
• Natural confidence and warmth with people - particularly a mature and discerning clientele
• Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
• Calm under pressure, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• A professional and traditional demeanour - manners, presentation, and charm matter here
