As a Hostel Services Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to achieve their best potential and transition smoothly into independent living. The Key duties and responsibilities for this Hostel Services manager opportunity will include: - Oversee the management of secure, safe, and supported accommodation provided by Team Leaders and Support Coaches. - Line manage and develop Hostel Services Team Leaders, Hostel Coordinator, and specialist tendered services. - Ensure support and supervision delivered by the team follows best practices and addresses learning and development needs. - Evaluate operational practices to drive continuous improvement and security. - Identify opportunities for operational innovation and service improvements. - Monitor and manage key performance indicators, including void levels, rent collection, and arrears. - Ensure safeguarding issues are addressed in accordance with the Safeguarding policy. - Liaise with external agencies, local authorities, and partners to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. - Keep up to date with legislation affecting the service and ensure compliance. The ideal person fot this Hostel Services Manager will need these Skills and experience: - Strong management experience in social care. - Experience in developing services to maximise potential and working with vulnerable people. - Knowledge of welfare rights, welfare benefits, and social issues such as homelessness. - Proven experience in line-managing high-performing teams. - Developed emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and psychological insight. - Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills. - Full clean UK driving licence and access to own car for work.
