Housekeeper In St Helens

A busy family in St Helens Merseyside , are looking for a Housekeeper to help care for their beautiful home.

Family Background

The family comprises of a lovely friendly couple who have 6 children who have a nanny.They both work long hours due to the nature of their work with a busy and demanding lifestyle. The family home is a beautiful large 5 bedroom detached house set in its own grounds with 3 bathrooms.

Duties

You should be confident with all housekeeping duties and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. The successful candidate should have strong initiative and an eye for detail. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking the groceries, running errands such as post office returns, wardrobe organising and management , changing beds, ensuring all rooms are tidy and dust free, emptying the dishwasher and waste. The family also have a cleaner who attends three times a week. You will also need to be computer literate as there will be occasional PA admin duties within the role.

The successful candidate will manage the home, ensuring the kitchen is stocked with groceries,and organised.It is important that you have a positive and can-do attitude. You must be happy following instructions as this is a busy household but you must be motivated and happy to work independently but alongside other staff in the household. You will work alongside another housekeeper to share the duties,

The successful candidate will be happy to run errands like going grocery shopping, to the post office, or dry cleaners, as needed. You should be confident welcoming contractors to the property, such as window cleaners and maintenance people if they are there when you are.

Location

The house is in St Helens Merseyside . This is live out role.

Days/Hours

The hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm (1 hour lunch break) one week, Monday, Tuesday, Half day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Half day Saturday the following week.

You should be happy to be flexible and work extra hours or on weekend days on occasion, when agreed upon in advance

Languages

You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.

Special Skills

You should have good experience working as a housekeeper in a private household. You should have an eye for detail and a warm & positive attitude.
