Houseman/Caretaker

Private Estate in the Watlington area is looking for an adaptable, hardworking and trustworthy individual. The work will be varied and involve hands on indoor and outdoor duties utilising a broad remit of practical skills (basic DIY skills are essential). Attention to detail is imperative.

Experience of working in a similar environment is advantegous, perhaps a caretaker in another private estate, school or site.

Candidates must be self-motivated with a can-do attitude and able to work alone or as part of a team.

Monday to Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with one hour for lunch. Occasional weekend work is required for which lieu time will be given.

Duties include

• Addressing maintenance and safety concerns around the estate
• Basic DIY skills to understand and deal with maintenance procedures
• Dealing with plant rooms
• Liaising with contractors
• Exterior caretaking
• Interior cleaning
• Driving duties when required
• Vehicle cleaning
• Dog walking when required (must like animals!)

Skills/Experience

• Basic DIY skills
• Problem solving skills
• Organisation, multi-tasking and scheduling skills
• Good communication skills for positive dealings with Principals, administrators and Estate staff
• Driving license
• Bright, quick to learn and take on new skills
• Flexible, able to turn your hand to most things
