Adecco are delighted to be partnering with a respected provider of affordable and supported housing to recruit a Housing & Compliance Officer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional who is looking for a varied role combining housing management, resident engagement, tenancy sustainment, property compliance and contractor liaison.
Working across a small housing portfolio, you'll play a key role in ensuring residents receive a high-quality service while helping to maintain safe, compliant and well managed homes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of residential properties and support residents throughout their tenancy. Conduct tenancy visits, welfare checks and property inspections. Respond to tenancy related matters including arrears, anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches. Coordinate repairs and maintenance works, working closely with contractors and residents. Support compliance programmes across areas including gas, electrical, fire and water safety. Assist with damp and mould cases, ensuring timely resolutions and accurate record keeping. Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are completed to the required standards. Build positive relationships with residents, internal stakeholders and external partners. Maintain accurate records, reports and compliance documentation. Promote excellent customer service and resident engagement across all areas of service delivery.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
Experience within a social housing, housing association, local authority or regulated housing environment. A strong background in housing management and tenancy services. Exposure to property compliance, health & safety, building safety or asset management workstreams. Experience managing rent arrears, tenancy sustainment and resident-facing casework. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload. CIH Level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) desirable. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
