Housing Customer Advisor

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
💷 Salary: £26,364 per annum
⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week
📋 Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Housing Customer Advisor to join a supported housing service in Stoke-on-Trent.

The role will be the first point of contact for individuals accessing the service and will involve supporting customers throughout their housing journey, from initial referral through to securing suitable longer-term accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

* Assessing referrals and identifying whether the service can meet the customer’s housing and support needs

* Providing a responsive and person-centred service to vulnerable individuals

* Working with customers and partner agencies to help prevent and reduce homelessness

* Supporting customers with their housing journey and identifying suitable move-on options

* Liaising with local authorities, housing providers, landlords and other partner agencies

* Coordinating move-on pathways into appropriate longer-term or independent accommodation

* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring referrals and customer information are managed effectively

About You

* Good knowledge of housing and homelessness services

* Experience working with vulnerable customers

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* The ability to assess individual needs and make appropriate decisions

* Experience working with partner agencies and external organisations

* Good organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple referrals and priorities
