Your Role

• Advise on all aspects of housing law, including landlord/tenant issues and unlawful occupancy

• Handle housing litigation such as evictions, disrepair, and land disputes.

• Draft and review tenancy agreements, lease terms, and housing-related policies.

• Ensure compliance with legal obligations, especially around affordable housing delivery.

• Deliver training and guidance to housing officers and councillors.

• Work in close collaboration with the housing team, becoming a trusted, embedded legal partner.

What We’re Looking For

? A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive

? Strong post-qualification experience in housing law, ideally within or for a local authority

? Skilled in litigation, negotiation, and drafting

? Confident working solo with a proactive, self-led approach

? Collaborative mindset and able to embed yourself into a client team

What’s On Offer

Fully Remote Working: All hearings are remote, and you choose your location

Annualised Hours: 37 hours/week on average, but full flexibility over how you work

?? Autonomy: Design your own systems, introduce new processes, and shape the service

Variety: From strategic housing projects to complex tenancy litigation

Impact: Play a key role in affordable housing delivery and public service provision

LGPS Pension: Secure, defined benefit scheme

Leave: 25 days (rising to 30) + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown
