Housing Solicitor - Berkshire

Reed Public Sector is looking for an experienced housing solicitor on a permanent basis for a Housing Association in Berkshire.  

Are you an experienced housing solicitor looking to work in-house, improving the lives of people in the local community? Are you looking to work more independently, managing your own caseload and using your proven expertise and professional judgement supporting colleagues on housing matters?

We’re looking for a new legal housing specialist to join, providing legal advice and representation across a broad range of contentious and advisory housing matters, including property disrepair cases, tenancy matters, access, arrears and occupation, dealing with associated applications, claims and settlements to successful conclusion.

Solicitor - Housing

• Salary is circa £65,000 per annum (full-time) + benefits
• This role is a full-time permanent position, working 37 hours per week. 
• Offering hybrid working with 2 days in the office per week.
• Applicants will need to hold a law degree or comparable legal qualification with a minimum of 3 years relevant PQE and will be a practising solicitor.

Experience required:

• Practising solicitor registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority with a current practicing certificate.
• Solid experience across a broad range of housing & property legal matters including assignment & succession, possession claims, tenancy breaches, non-occupation/subletting, anti-social behaviour, service charge matters/disputes, property disrepair case management, providing legal & commercial client advice on the same. Full understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair cases and broader Civil Procedure Rules
• Sound experience in dealing with all aspects of legal disrepair case management up to court attendance & representation.
