About The Company Farrer Barnes are delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and fast-growing group of companies based in Gravesend. Known for their collaborative and people-focused culture, our client is looking to recruit a confident and organised HR Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in HR administration who is keen to develop their career further.
The Role As a HR Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations across the group. You will provide administrative support, ensure processes are followed consistently, and work closely with internal stakeholders and external HR advisors. This a permanent, full-time role, offering a salary of up to £26,000.
Key Responsibilities
Support all areas of employee relations, including managing absence, sickness, grievances and disciplinary matters
Confidently liaise with business partners and advise senior staff in a professional and commercially sensitive manner
Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising to onboarding
Monitor and review HR policies and processes, implementing changes where required
Manage staff attendance and absence records across the group
Administer employee paperwork, such as contracts, starter packs and termination letters
Support the performance review process and assist with follow-up actions
Coordinate and oversee training and development initiatives, including apprenticeships and staff HR training
Liaise with the company’s HR support team via phone and email to ensure all HR actions are documented and compliant
Handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion
Carry out additional ad hoc HR tasks as needed
Desirable Skills
Experience in a similar HR administrative role
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional and confident when dealing with internal stakeholders at all levels
A proactive and detail-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection in relation to HR
