Job Description - HR Advisor

HR Advisor

  • Annual Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum
  • Location: Farringdon, London
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reed HR are working with a large construction company to recruit a HR Advisor who will support the Head of HR in delivering a comprehensive, professional, and customer-focused HR service across the organisation. This role is crucial in ensuring good HR practice, with a strong emphasis on managing employee relations effectively and providing reliable employment law advice to all levels of staff.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide advice and assistance on HR policies, procedures, and legislation to management and staff.
  • Lead and advise on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and probations to ensure effective resolution.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure an effective, consistent, and timely delivery of HR services.
  • Offer reliable and trusted employment law advice.
  • Review and update job descriptions as necessary.
  • Monitor key HR analytics, such as turnover and retention rates, for your stakeholder group.
  • Coordinate the performance review process for your stakeholder group.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires in your stakeholder group, ensuring an exquisite employee experience.
  • Handle various HR queries and act as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees, and other HR team members.
  • Implement and coordinate change management programmes within your stakeholder group.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor with a strong focus on employee relations.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in handling complex employee relations issues.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
