This is an excellent opportunity for a CIPD-qualified HR professional looking to take ownership of a varied HR advisory role, supporting managers, directors and employees across a multi-site organisation of more than 500 employees.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will work as part of a supportive and highly service-focused HR team, providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance across the business.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you will provide practical advice on a broad range of employee relations and HR matters, ensuring that advice is aligned with current employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
The role covers 19 sites, so occasional travel to branches will be required. Alongside the advisory aspect of the position, you will also support a range of HR administration activities, including maintaining electronic employee records, recruitment, employee relations and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Provide professional and practical HR advice and guidance to managers, directors and employees. Support the HR Manager with employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes. Ensure HR advice and processes are compliant with current employment legislation and company procedures. Provide HR support across multiple sites, with travel to branches when required. Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic employee records and HR documentation. Assist with the implementation and review of HR policies and procedures. Produce accurate HR reports, spreadsheets and employee data. Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a responsive and professional HR service.You will ideally have:
CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent. Previous experience in an HR Advisory role. Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice, with the ability to apply this knowledge practically. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining spreadsheets, analysing data, checking accuracy and producing reports. Confidence using HR systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and other business systems. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate correspondence, records, reports and data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate with people at all levels. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy HR environment. The ability to plan and prioritise your workload, take ownership and work to deadlines. A professional, proactive approach with the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.What's on Offer?
