We’re expanding our HR team at GEL Engineering Ltd and are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join us.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on HR role, supporting managers across multiple sites and providing advice on a wide range of employee matters.
You’ll work closely with the HR Manager and wider team, helping us deliver an effective HR service while supporting our people and the continued growth of the business.
What will you be doing?

Managing employee relations cases, including grievances, investigations and disciplinary processes.
*
Advising and supporting managers with complex HR issues and employee matters.
*
Supporting onboarding, new starters, exit interviews and general HR administration.
*
Maintaining accurate employee records and updating our HR information system.
*
Monitoring sickness absence, identifying trends and supporting return-to-work processes.
*
Producing HR reports and analysing people data.
*
Supporting graduate and apprenticeship programmes.
*
Working with Finance to provide relevant employee information.
*
Supporting employee health checks, recruitment events and wider HR projects.
This is a multi-site role, so flexibility to travel to other locations is essential.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with at least two years’ experience in an HR role, strong employee relations experience and the confidence to work with managers at all levels.
You’ll be organised, approachable and comfortable managing a varied workload. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally are essential.
Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office is important, and CIPD training or a relevant qualification would be desirable.
