Our Automotive manufacturing client based in Leeds are seeking an HR Advisor to join their HR team.

They need someone with automotive / manufacturing environment experience. This is a generalist role, working with their HR Business Partner - EMEA and covering a broad role within HR. This is a key role within the business and they need someone with some work experience.
Job Summary

In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for general HR related queries from employees and external partners, ensuring that people are always provided with a consistent and effective service.
You will advise employees on employment rights and company policy, along with supporting the recruitment and onboarding processes. You will also be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of our employee records, managing HR documents and updating our databases. You will also assist in processing of the monthly payroll with our outsourced provider
There is plenty of opportunity to develop in this role, through getting stuck in with HR project work, to supporting the HR Manager with operational initiatives. You will also be given the opportunity to develop through supporting with employee relations issues and advising managers on appropriate courses of action in line with relevant employment law and legislation.
Main Duties / Responsibilities

?Manage the employee life cycle following internal company processes as you go, from recruiting top talent into the business to managing ER activity.

?Alongside line managers, closely manage employee absence using the Bradford Factor means of measurement, using the Company disciplinary process when necessary.

?Support the HR Manager to produce and analyse monthly headcount and absence reports.

?Assist the HR Manager to process the UK monthly payroll.

?Assist with the organisation of the quarterly update to all EMEA employees, collating and presenting information as and when needed.

?Drive the formation of the Engagement Committee, scheduling meetings and taking appropriate actions.

?Monitor, review and update HR policies, ensuring these are in line with current legislation and are meaningful and user-friendly for all customers.

?Ensure all employee documentation is stored in line with Company and GDPR regulations.

?Continually strive to improve HR processes and procedures.

?Build strong relationships with internal key stakeholders.

?Answer employee queries regarding employment matters in a confident and friendly manner.

Essential requirements

?CIPD qualified (or working towards this qualification).

?Comprehensive understanding of the principles and application of employment legislation and case law, European directives and best practices.

?Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of employee relations issues and best practices.

?Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers.

?Resilient with a can-do attitude, even when the pressure is on and facing demanding workloads.
Desirable

?Relevant HR experience.

?Knowledge and experience using Workday.

?Experience working within the automotive industry.

?Ability to write and speak French and German.
