We're looking for an HR & Recruitment Officer Are you an organised and proactive HR professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an HR & Recruitment Officer to join our People team and play a key role in supporting recruitment, HR administration and the wider employee lifecycle. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work closely with managers and colleagues across the business to ensure our people processes run smoothly while delivering a positive experience for both employees and candidates. About the Candidate We're looking for a motivated and organised HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering an excellent employee and candidate experience. You'll have previous experience in an HR administration, HR coordination or recruitment role, with confidence managing multiple priorities and building positive relationships across the business. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential. You'll be comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office, have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and understand the importance of handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion. A good understanding of UK employment legislation is desirable, and a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards one) would be an advantage.
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Birmingham (Office-Based)
What You'll Do As our HR & Recruitment Officer, you'll support the day-to-day delivery of HR and recruitment activities across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising vacancies through to offer and onboarding. Screening applications and conducting initial telephone interviews. Coordinating interviews with hiring managers and candidates. Preparing contracts of employment, offer letters and onboarding documentation. Completing pre-employment checks, including references and right-to-work verification. Maintaining accurate employee and recruitment records within HR systems and the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Managing the HR inbox and responding to employee queries in a timely and professional manner. Supporting probation reviews, absence management and employee lifecycle administration. Assisting with monthly payroll administration and HR reporting. Supporting employee relations processes by preparing documentation, coordinating meetings and maintaining confidential records. Assisting with HR projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting office administration, including new starter setup, visitor management and employee engagement activities. Benefits
