A growing organisation is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Specialist with experience & interest in systems. This role plays a vital part in supporting the entire employee lifecycle while managing and optimising the HR and payroll information systems. The successful candidate will deliver accurate data for payroll and provide a people-focused HR and payroll service, embodying the organisation’s core values in everyday work.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in line with internal procedures and data protection regulations
Handle HR documentation, including contracts, starter and leaver documentation, and process changes to employment terms (e.g. promotions, pay adjustments)
Support recruitment and onboarding activities
Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and manager
Optimise system performance and suggest enhancements
Lead system module implementations and drive user adoption
Manage the HRIS across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
Tailor system settings and reports to meet organisational needs
Collaborate with IT, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integrations
Deliver system training and support to staff and managers
Input employee payroll data into the HR and payroll platform
Administer pension processes, including monthly data uploads
Maintain payroll records, proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of annual payroll reports (e.g. P60s, P11Ds)
Reconcile absence records for accurate payroll processing
Provide payroll-related information for internal and external audits
Handle monthly payroll processing for a small group of employees based in the Republic of Ireland
Skills & Competencies:
Positive, proactive attitude with a colleague-focused approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
Strong IT capabilities with an enthusiasm for HR and payroll systems
Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
Effective time management and organisational skills
