Job Description - Hr apprentice

We are looking for an HR apprentice to join the team.

The role will be responsible for supporting and coordinating a wide variety of site HR activities, across resourcing, onboarding, employee engagement, metrics and employee relations.

The HR Apprentice will study towards a Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship and will work alongside the site HR Generalists.

Responsibilities: Support employee engagement activities including annual engagement surveys, site events and the employee engagement network Draft HR Communications for the monthly site Newsletter and slides for the Company site updates Support HR and Talent Acquisition with Early Careers Events such as assessment centres, STEM activities, work experience programs etc Liaise with People Operations colleagues to ensure activities are completed and data integrity is maintained within the HR master data system.

Monitor Background Screening process, escalate discrepancies and conduct right to work checks for all new hires Administer the company HR recognition schemes, including Long Service Awards, issue certificates to employees and instruct payroll on a monthly basis Coordinate weekly new starter site inductions and carry out HR system demos for new starters Support the HR Generalist in employee relations matters including drafting invite letters, attend meetings and take minutes where necessary Run monthly metrics reports including starters and leavers Support quarterly audits including running reports, data checking and escalating to the HR Generalists when needed Track technical career programme (SUMMIT) applications, produce regular reports and ensure the central tracker is up to date Support of projects on an ad-hoc basis such as annual performance and pay review Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite e.g Outlook, Word, Powerpoint Excel, Pivot tables Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Good attention to detail and organisation skills Ability to plan meet deadlines Strong interpersonal skills Planning and Decision Making: Able to plan and prioritise own work within agreed deadlines, meeting objectives in a specified timeframe Impact and Scope: Geographic scope UK Interacts regularly with UK employees at all levels, SLT & below Decisions may affect employee, or public relations perceptions Key Internal and External Relationships: People Operations Team UK employees Line Managers and below Diversity & Inclusion We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
