Job Description - HR Associate

The HR Associate will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources department within the healthcare industry. This position, based in South Manchester, focuses on delivering efficient HR services and ensuring compliance with organisational policies.

Description

As part of the HR team, you'll play a key role in shaping a positive and professional workplace by:

  • Supporting end-to-end HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations-helping to create a smooth and welcoming experience for every new team member.
  • Ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date, while upholding the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures, keeping them aligned with current legislation and best practice.
  • Coordinating training and development initiatives, giving staff the tools they need to grow and succeed.
  • Providing friendly, reliable advice to employees on everyday HR matters, while escalating complex issues appropriately.
  • Working closely with managers to ensure HR practices support the organisation's wider goals and values.
  • Producing clear, insightful reports and analysing key HR data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Promoting a safe and healthy working environment by supporting compliance with health and safety standards.

Profile

A successful HR Associate should have:

  • Solid understanding of core HR principles and practices, ideally within the healthcare or social care sector.
  • Proven experience supporting HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Good working knowledge of employment law and data protection regulations
  • Confident in using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage day-to-day tasks efficiently
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving
