Job Description - HR Business Partner

HR Business Partner (12m Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Abingdon, with travel on occasion (hybrid working 3 days in the office)
Salary: £50,000 per annum

Are you a hands-on HR professional looking to make a real impact in a fast-growing, purpose-driven organisation? Reed HR is proud to be recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a dynamic HR team based in Abingdon on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

About the Role

As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders across key departments—particularly Marketing and Customer Service—to align HR strategies with business goals. You’ll lead on employee relations, drive engagement initiatives, and coach a HR Advisor, all while contributing to a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior managers, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Lead and support on complex employee relations matters.
  • Coach and develop a HR Advisor, providing guidance on day-to-day HR activities.
  • Drive employee engagement and support cultural development aligned with company values.
  • Collaborate with recruitment, L&D, and reward teams to deliver cohesive HR solutions.
  • Monitor headcount and workforce planning, ensuring alignment with budget and growth plans.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to inform decision-making across departments.
  • Support succession planning and talent development for business-critical roles.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Strong background in employee relations and employment law.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing, sales, or marketing teams is highly desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
  • Passionate about creating inclusive, high-performing workplaces.
Desirable Expertise
  • Subject matter knowledge in EDI, employee engagement, or organisational development.
